Job summary

Levy Restaurants is seeking a Commissary Runner at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston. The role supports the Banquet Department, handling setup, beverage service, and service-area management for events.

Responsibilities include reviewing BEOs, preparing rooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness across commissary and storage areas. Will perform equipment checks and ensure safety and sanitation per policy.

Qualifications

• Walks and stands throughout entire shift.
• Lifts and transports items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Pushes and pulls carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Must frequently reach, lift, stoop and bend.
• Reads, speaks, writes and comprehends English.

Responsibilities

• Reviews assigned Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to prepare tables for service.
• Sets up, maintains, and breaks down assigned services and work areas.
• Maintains coffee/beverage areas and related supplies per Levy Standards.
• Prepares rooms with linens, risers, menus, and place settings.
• Ensures services are ready according to Levy Standards.
• Replenishes supplies and equipment during service.
• Breaks down service rooms and returns equipment.
• Resets rooms for next service when possible.
• Keeps commissary, coffee room and storage areas clean and organized.
• Monitors equipment and communicates malfunctions to management.
• Delivers exceptional service with urgency to meet guest/event needs.
