Responsibilities
- Wear the approved uniform at all times while working, including a nametag.
- Follow posted schedules and hotel time and attendance policies.
- Read and understand Banquet-Event-Orders (BEOs).
- Set up linen, china, glassware, silverware for each function according to BEO.
- Set up, maintain, inventory, and break down beverage breaks and food buffets/displays.
- Be knowledgeable of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes.
- Transport food and beverage items to guest tables promptly to ensure quality.
- Replenish guest beverages as needed and inquire about guest satisfaction.
- Attend to guest needs, circulate the room, and respond politely to requests.
- Remove dishes promptly as guests finish meals or at the end of service.
- Comply with all liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
- Complete assigned tasks such as refilling condiments and cleaning/storing equipment.
- Assist with inventory, food storage, and closeout tasks post-event.
- Address guest complaints and requests, reporting issues to a supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and brand expectations.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by hotel management.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous waitstaff experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of catering practices preferred.
- Ability to work quickly and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean background check and reliable transportation required.
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand/walk for at least 8 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Friendly, outgoing personality willing to engage with guests.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
