Job summary

Westin Hotel Huntsville is looking for a banquet server to set up the banquet room and provide friendly, professional service during events. You will greet guests, serve food and beverages, and ensure smooth function flow from setup to reset.

Responsibilities include maintaining service standards, complying with alcohol guidelines, replenishing beverages, and assisting with post-event room resets. Regular attendance and reliability are required.

• Set up banquet room with linens, service ware and glassware as instructed by Supervisor
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function specifics and guest expectations
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
• Serve food and/or beverages per the supervisor’s instructions and clear dishes after each course
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate alcohol service requirements
• Replenish beverages as needed and check guest satisfaction
• Reset banquet room after function to readiness for the next event
• Be available to work on a regular basis and comply with attendance rules
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

JOB OVERVIEW: Set up of Banquet Room and serve food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to Crescent high standards of quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. 1. Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, service ware and glassware.
2. 2. Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
3. 3. Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
4. 4. Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
5. 5. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
6. 6. Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
7. 7. Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.
8. 8. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
9. 9. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
