Job summary

Crystal Mountain is seeking a Banquet Server to provide attentive food and beverage service during banquet events, coordinating with the kitchen and staff to deliver a seamless guest experience. You will set up, serve, maintain, and break down banquet rooms and stations, respond to guest requests, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards throughout the Conference Center.

The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

Job Summary

A Banquet Server provides effective food and beverage service, guest attention, and overall logistics of banquet events by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence, resulting in the overall success of banquet events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of event menu items and their contents, appropriate table settings and service ware, and the correct preparation and garnishing methods.
• Responsible for setting up, serving, maintaining, and breaking down banquet rooms and food lines/ stations.
• Respond to requests from guests, supervisors or management in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain supplies neat and organized to department standards.
• Maintain security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
• Review Function Sheets at the beginning of each shift.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the Conference Center.
• Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to Banquet Manager/ Captain.
• Keep inventory of all Conference Center equipment in order and stored in their appropriate areas.
• Transport any and all items needed for an outdoor event not within the Conference Center and tent areas.
• Maintain proper dining experience to include: delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Work with the kitchen to accurately fulfill orders from the function sheets and special requests from groups.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Understand and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
• Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
