Job summary

Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina in Hawaii is seeking a courteous banquet server to deliver pre-determined menu selections, communicate guest orders to the kitchen, and ensure timely service with attention to detail and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English, have at least 1 year of luxury-hospitality experience, can carry and balance a tray, and show strong communication and computer skills; the role includes meals, parking, and eligibility for 401k after 30 days.

About the location:

A luxury Oahu resort on the island’s sunny Western Coast. Join us in Ko Olina and find your very own place of joy. Our beachfront island Resort sits on Oahu’s wild and rugged western coast, where vast ocean views and lively pools and lagoons provide the setting for an unforgettable adventure. Take the family for a ride on an outrigger canoe, splash around in the turquoise waters of our white-sand beach, play a round of golf as you weave through waterfalls at Ko Olina Golf Club, or spend the day reconnecting with your inner self at Naupaka Spa & Wellness Centre.

What you will do:

• Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table; maintain knowledge of each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations

What you will bring:

• Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Candidates should have at least 1-year previous experience in a similar position in a luxury environment.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Must be experienced in the areas of communication and computer skills.
