Job Description

The Banquet Server provides excellent service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include setting up tables, preparing beverages, serving food, and cleaning tables during convention functions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service, positively interacting with guests and colleagues, and handling difficult situations with resilience.
• Set tables, prepare beverages, and provide condiments.
• Keep banquet areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service.
• Anticipate guest needs, ensure satisfaction, and respond promptly to complaints.
• Maintain a neat appearance and adhere to sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying large trays with at least ten covers.
• Knowledge of wine service and table etiquette.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency with equipment such as chafing dishes, plate warmers, and coffee urns.
• Ability to inspect and maintain assigned areas.
• Effective movement around banquet areas.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to review and understand documentation.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts.
• Indiana ABC Liquor License required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Typically, these skills are acquired through two years of food service experience.
