Highgate Hotels is seeking a Banquet Server to set up and serve food and beverages at banquet events in Seattle. The role involves reading the BEO, maintaining table setups, and ensuring guest satisfaction with friendly, professional service.

The position requires flexibility with hours, physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to stand throughout shifts. Excellent communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns.
• Must multitask and prioritize functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure guests are served promptly.
• Read and follow the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and menu for the function.
• Serve guests according to hotel standards in a friendly, courteous, professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents; communicate with management as needed.
• Set all tables according to hotel standards.
• Maintain banquet storeroom in a neat, stocked condition for functions.
• Clean up banquet space after each function and restock equipment.
• Prepare rooms per BEO and meal functions.
• Follow money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Know menu items and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
