Job summary

Jamaica Bay Inn, located in Marina del Rey and part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, seeks a Banquet Server to deliver outstanding service during weddings, meetings, and events. You will prepare rooms and stations, serve guests, and ensure a polished, memorable experience throughout each event.

Prior banquet or hospitality experience is preferred; the role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced environment, onsite in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, restaurant, or hospitality settings preferred.
• Strong guest-focused approach and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow event instructions with attention to detail.
• Basic math and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set and pre-set banquet rooms according to event specifications.
• Assist with meal and beverage setup.
• Prepare service stations and complete side work.
• Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
• Check in with guests and respond to their needs.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Follow food safety and responsible service standards.
• Keep banquet spaces and equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Report missing items and damaged equipment.
• Support other team members to ensure events run smoothly.
