Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional guest experiences at events hosted at USC venues. You will provide professional, efficient food and beverage service, from setup to banquet service, while maintaining hospitality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to guest needs in real time. This position pays an hourly rate of $20.50 per the current union agreement and remains open until November 20, 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment.
• Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related food service job experience.
• Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the menu and any special items.
• Provides quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service to banquet guests and communicates clearly with customers.
• Ensures items are served at the proper temperature and per kitchen availability.
• Ensures neat presentation of all items with no spill-over.
• Pre-bus tables and bus tables during peak periods.
• Maintains availability to work during peak periods.
• Stocks beverage stations (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
• Responds promptly to customer desires and requests.
• Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
• Communicates with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff for coordinated service.
• Builds knowledge about bar offerings to answer patron questions accurately.
