Job summary

Wind Creek Chicago Southland seeks a Banquet Server to deliver friendly and efficient service in banquet settings. You will read and execute BEOs, set and maintain tables, and ensure high guest satisfaction across events.

The role requires a 21+ age, a year of banquet or full-service restaurant experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Training in ServeSafe and BASSET is expected, with opportunities for growth in hospitality operations.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in a full-service restaurant or banquet setting is required (1 year).
• Ability to read a BEO and complete setup accurately.
• Must pass interview including guest service audition and have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meets and exceeds customer expectations.
• Communicates effectively with guests, coworkers and supervisors.
• Provides highest quality service to guests at all times.
• Read a BEO and complete setup as required.
• Set tables neatly with clean linen, silverware, china, and glassware.
• Keep station neat and stocked with essentials.
• Pour wine and explain menu ingredients and preparation methods.
• Attend to guests with water, coffee, and beverages; refill as needed.
• Handle orders that vary from the set menu; refer complaints to Banquet Manager.
• Clean banquet rooms before, during, and after functions.
• Return reusable items for cleaning and refilling.
• Other duties as assigned.
