Job summary

The Woodlands Resort is hiring a Banquet Server to assist with guest experiences at banquet events in the Woodlands, Texas area. You will set up banquet rooms, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and maintain service standards to ensure a positive guest experience.

Hotel experience is preferred. You will need good teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to handle beverages and table settings, while complying with all required regulations and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe application of products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in serving guests during banquet functions.
• Set up banquet room with linens, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food and beverages to the Supervisor’s standards.
• Replenish beverages and check overall guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function.
• Adhere to state, federal and corporate alcohol-service rules.
