Job summary

The Woodlands Resort in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to assist the Banquet Manager during events. You will help set up, greet guests, serve courses and beverages, and ensure a seamless dining experience for attendees.

You should have hotel or banquet experience, be a team player, and be able to handle heavy serviceware while standing for extended periods. This role is on-site with flexible on-call hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Pitch-in and help coworkers in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. and work around a crowded room.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linen, serviceware and glassware as instructed by Supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages per Supervisor's instructions to ensure consistency.
• Promptly remove dishes and reset the room after each function.
• Comply with state, federal and corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction throughout the event.
• Reset banquet room for the next function after completion.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
