Job summary

Colonial Heritage Club is seeking a Banquet Server to warmly welcome guests, assist with seating, and guide guests through menus and wine selections.

You will take orders, coordinate with kitchen/bar, and ensure flawless service from plate presentation to check settlement, while maintaining a clean, efficient station and supporting the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires restaurant/banquet experience or willingness to train.
• Knowledge of state liquor laws and ability to check IDs as needed.
• Maintain friendly, professional demeanor with guests, including unhappy guests.
• Be organized, dependable and able to stay calm under changing plans.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, assist with seating, walk through menus and specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay to kitchen/bar.
• Check plates before service and coordinate with kitchen to fix issues.
• Present and pour wine/champagne properly.
• Keep drinks filled and suggest desserts; monitor guest needs.
• Handle checks, payments, and daily closeout.

Banquet Server – Colonial Heritage Club

Do you like making people feel welcome? Colonial Heritage Club is hiring Banquet Servers to help give our members and guests a great experience at every event.

What you’ll do

• Greet members and guests, help with seating, and walk them through menus, wine lists and daily specials
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and get them to the kitchen and bar on time
• Check every plate before it goes out, and work with the kitchen to fix anything that isn’t right
• Present and pour wine and champagne the right way
• Keep drinks filled, suggest desserts, and watch for anything a guest needs
• Handle checks, payments and receipts, and close out your daily sales
• Clear and reset tables, keep your area clean, and help with closing duties
• Answer the phone and pitch in wherever the team needs you

What we’re looking for

• Restaurant or banquet experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person
• Knowledge of state liquor laws, and the judgment to check IDs and recognize when a guest has had enough
• A friendly, professional style, including with a guest who is unhappy
• Organized, dependable, and able to stay calm when plans changeA team player who helps out without being asked
• Bilingual skills are a plus
