Job summary

Colonial Heritage Club is seeking a hands-on Banquet Lead to supervise the banquet team from pre-shift through post-event, ensuring smooth operations and impeccable service. You will coordinate with hosts and VIP guests, manage room layouts, and oversee setup, service, and breakdown of function rooms.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in food & beverage, solid communication, and a calm approach to last-minute changes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of food & beverage experience or related training.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Calm problem-solver who communicates clearly and handles last-minute changes well.

Responsibilities

• Lead the banquet team from pre-shift to end of event; assign staff, check uniforms, keep event running smoothly.
• Read the BEO and ensure room layouts, equipment and vendor setups match it.
• Keep servers, bartenders and support staff updated on needs and timeline changes.
• Prepare for key moments: toasts, cake cutting, reserved seating, signs.
• Act as go-to person for hosts and VIP guests needing assistance during events.
• Set up, break down and clean function rooms; ensure silverware, dishes and chafers are spotless.

What you’ll do

• Read the BEO and make sure room layouts, equipment and vendor setups match it
• Keep servers, bartenders and support staff updated on needs and any timeline changes
• Get everything ready for the big moments: toasts, cake cutting, reserved seating and signs
• Be the go-to person for hosts and VIP guests who need anything during the event
• Set up, break down and clean function rooms, and make sure silverware, dishes and chafers are spotless before every event
• Report broken equipment or maintenance needs to the Restaurant Manager or F&B Director

What we’re looking for

• At least one year of food and beverage experience, or similar training
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• High school diploma or GED
• A calm problem-solver who communicates clearly, handles last-minute changes well and puts the team first

Compensation and Benefits

$12.00 - $14.00 / hr + share of tip pool per hour based on experience
