Job summary

Fitler Club in Philadelphia is seeking a Banquet Server to interact one-on-one with guests at catered events. You will take guest orders, provide wine service, replenish beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction while following our service standards.

Responsibilities include setting tables, arranging stations, moving catering equipment, and performing side work and cleanup. Minimum 2+ years of banquet/catering experience required; must keep composure under pressure and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as banquet/catering server.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.

• Consistently following the Food and Beverage department's steps of service while utilizing proper procedures and standards
• Provide guests at catered events with exceptional service throughout all phases of their experience at 1916 while commanding full menu knowledge and preparation methods
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and supplies while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and Philadelphia health department
• Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, bartenders, and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other Team Members

Overview

The Banquet Server will interact one-on-one with guests at catered events. Food service will include taking guest orders, providing wine service, replenishing beverages utilizing 1916 by Ftler Club’s service standards, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Event execution will include the setup of tables, chairs, tabletops, reception areas, food stations, movement of catering equipment within the event venue, side work and clean-up duties.

• Provide guests at catered events with exceptional service throughout all phases of their experience at 1916 while commanding full menu knowledge and preparation methods
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and supplies while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and Philadelphia health department
• Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, bartenders, and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other Team Members

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a banquet/catering server in a catering, hotel, or golf club environment
• Must possess a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
• Must be able to physically lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware
• Excellent customer service skills with an in-depth knowledge of service, spirits, wine, and food
