Job summary

Courtyard Old Pasadena is looking for a Banquet Server to set up banquet rooms and serve food and beverages according to established service standards. This role requires interacting with guests, ensuring their satisfaction, and following safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and experience in food service is advantageous. Responsibilities include setting up rooms, attending meetings, serving, and responding to guest requests. Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars.
• Serve food and/or beverage per supervisor's instructions.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Promptly remove dishes as guests finish courses.
• Respond to guest special requests and resolve complaints.
• Abide by all regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice safe work habits and follow safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms as instructed by supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
• Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice safe work habits; wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Work Environment

• Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends.
