Job summary

The Classic Club in Palm Desert, CA is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver prompt, professional service for banquet functions in a fast-paced hospitality setting. This seasonal role offers the chance to learn, contribute, and grow within Troon’s global organization.

You will set up function spaces, serve food and beverages, maintain cleanliness, and support inventory and safety standards while providing memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or 1–3 months related experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares function sites and sets meeting rooms as specified.
• Serves food and beverages to guests following established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and service areas per Banquet Event Order.
• Attends and participates in pre-shift meetings.
• Communicates special requests to management.
• Maintains clean banquet and kitchen areas.
• Oversees equipment with care.
• Assists in inventory control and waste monitoring.
• Ensures excellent guest service by anticipating needs.
• Adheres to safe and sanitary work practices.

The Classic Club, located in Palm Desert, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Banquet Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range: $16.90 to $18.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

General Purpose:

Serves banquet functionguests food and beverage items in a prompt,professionaland courteous manner while creating memorable experiences . This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.

• Prepares function site s and assures meeting rooms are set according to specifications.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
• Attends and activelyparticipatesin pre-shift meetings .
• Communicates special requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Helps tomaintainclean banquet and kitchen areas .
• Overseesallequipment with care.
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
• Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
• Incorporates safe and sanitary workpractices throughout job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Maintains exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to employees, clients and vendors.
• Performs other duties asrequired.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and training .

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears.

Occasionally sits; climbs or balances.

Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.

Noiselevel is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafeCertified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
