Marcus Hotels & Resorts seeks a Server for Hotel Paseo, Autograph Collection in Palm Desert. You will provide attentive service, explain menus and specials, and deliver a hospitality-focused guest experience in a boutique luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, explain specials, promotions, and menu offerings.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of menu items, wine list, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Deliver all required service presentations and hospitality standards.
• Enter orders into the POS system and coordinate with culinary and management teams.
• Retrieve, verify, and serve food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of service.
• Process payments, thank guests, and encourage return visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area by resetting tables, restocking supplies, completing side work, and following all liquor regulations.

We are seeking a Server who will be responsible serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in superior guest satisfaction. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. What will you be doing?

• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and coordinate with culinary and management teams.
• Retrieve, verify, and serve food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of service.
• Process payments, thank guests, and encourage return visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area by resetting tables, restocking supplies, completing side work, and following all liquor regulations.

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations
• Ability to work POS system
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
