Job summary

Hotel Paseo, Autograph Collection in Palm Desert seeks a Front Desk Agent to deliver a five-star welcome and departure experience. You will greet guests, check in/out, and provide information about the property and local attractions.

The role emphasizes guest service, accuracy with the front desk system, and maintaining confidentiality. Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred; strong English communication and multi-tasking are essential; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the front office for extended periods.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
• Capability to accurately input and manage information using a computer system.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Visual and auditory awareness to detect emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
• Check guests in and out of rooms.
• Input and retrieve guest information from computer systems and assign rooms based on guests' needs.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.
• Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments (e.g., special requests, amenity delivery).
• Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.
• Generate, print and distribute daily and weekly reports.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features/services, hours, room types, rates, and promotions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.


• Check guests in and out of rooms.


• Input and retrieve information routinely from computer systems to communicate guest requests. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs.


• Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.


• Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery).


• Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.


• Generate, print and distribute daily and weekly reports.


• Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, hours of operation, room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and locations, room rates, special packages and promotions.


• Other duties as assigned.
