Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server to provide exceptional guest service at our luxury property in the United States. The role involves knowledge of menu items, guest interaction, and collaboration with the banquet team.

Responsibilities include displaying knowledge of food and beverage options, serving tables, coordinating with kitchen and management, and assisting with event setup and breakdown. Legal work authorization in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Legal work authorization in the United States
• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel food & beverage service
• Strong oral presentation skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding events
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

• The Banquet Server serves guest needs with knowledge of food & beverage items and preparation methods.
• Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table.
• Communicate guest orders and any special needs to the Banquet Manager or kitchen.
• Transport items to the guest table to ensure quality.
• Greet guests professionally and respond to concerns promptly.
• Assist in set-up and breakdown of banquet events.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• The Banquet Server serves guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods. This includes each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method.
• have a passion for food and wine and exceptional service.
• Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table.
• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen;
• Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests in a professional manner and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Plate, prepare and serve food.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of banquet events.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Some travel may be required.
• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage service
• Strong oral presentation skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding events
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations
• Legal work authorization in the United States required
