Job summary

Madden's on Gull Lake in Brainerd, MN is seeking Part-Time Banquet Servers to support events across our banquet spaces and catering operations.

You will prepare function sites, serve food and beverages, reset tables per event orders, communicate guest requests to management, help with inventory, and uphold safety and high hospitality standards. Varying hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; three months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares function site and ensures meeting room is set according to specifications.
• Serves food and beverages to guests based on established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas per Banquet Event Orders.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Helps maintain a clean banquet or catering area and related equipment.
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in banquet or catering areas.
• Ensures guests receive excellent customer service by anticipating needs.
• Adheres to safe work practices and maintains regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilites

• Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
• Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.

Physical Demands:

Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.

Expected Hours of Work:

Varying work schedule, with occasional nights and weekends.

Travel:

Less than 10% travel required.
