Job summary

Madden's is a premier resort in Minnesota seeking part-time banquet servers to support events and daily dining operations. Responsibilities include setting up function sites, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining cleanliness and organization across banquet and catering areas.

The role requires strong communication, superb listening and writing skills, and the ability to work with teams to anticipate guest needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
• Organized, great communication, decisive & flexible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare function site and ensure meeting room is set according to Banquet Event Order or instructions.
• Serve food and beverage items to guests following established guidelines.
• Set dining tables, buffets, and service areas as required.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Help maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
• Assist in inventory control and monitor waste in banquet/catering areas.
• Ensure guests receive excellent customer service by anticipating needs.

Madden’s is currently seeking Part-Time Banquet Servers.Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications.Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Regular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as required.Skills and Abilities:Organized, great communication, decisive & flexible.Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.Great decision-making skills.Must be able to work alongside other people and independently.The ability to establish and maintain relationships with vendors and markets is essential.Time management.Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.Physical Demands:Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.Expected Hours of Work:Varying work schedule, with occasional nights and weekends.Travel:Less than 10% travel required.
