Job Details

Location: Brainerd, MN 56401. Position Type: Part-Time. Salary Range: $11.41 - $16.00 hourly.

Madden’s is currently seeking Golf Shop attendants for our Summer 2026 season.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve all guests with a “Can Do Attitude”.
  • Put a smile on your face and in your voice – let the guest see and hear how glad and prepared you are to help them. This creates a positive first impression of you and our capabilities to meet their needs.
  • Ask, “How can I help you?” – communicate your willingness to help them.
  • Understand the customer’s request – listen to the guest’s situation and find out what they want you to do for them.
  • Describe how you can help – there isn’t anything worse than hearing someone say, “I can’t do that… it’s not my job!” There is always some action you can take to help them.
  • Say, “Thank you.” – final impressions are just as important as first impressions. Strive to leave the guest feeling appreciated and pleased they chose to do business with you.
  • Reconfirm tee times daily – use the script in the SOP.
  • When guests are shopping you should be out on the floor assisting with their needs, folding clothing, etc.
  • Ensure guest check‑in and fee collection is in coordination with the starter.
  • Assist in the receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
  • Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
  • Assist golf professionals with tournaments and outings.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
  • Publicity and promotion on Madden’s Resort knowledgeable in all resort activities and promoting all of its facilities.
  • Uphold customer service standards.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent listening, speaking, and communication skills.
  • Great decision‑making skills.
  • Must be able to work alongside other people and independently.
  • The ability to establish and maintain relationships with guests and members is crucial.
Education / Experience

High school diploma/GED preferred. 1 year of golf work experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed inside our golf shops.

Physical Demands

Primarily walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift golf bags sometimes repeatedly.

Expected Hours of Work

Variable work schedule with weekends included.

Travel

Less than 10% travel required.
