Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, entertaining environment with service excellence.
• Greet and serve guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Operate POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Record Food & Beverage revenues and settlements.
• Assist with ballroom setup and banquet event orders.
• Help with table settings, buffet setups, and bar displays.
• Prepare settlement paperwork in an organized way.
• Assist with banquet teardown and cleanup.
• Monitor alcohol consumption per policy and Maryland law.
• Restock inventory and keep work area clean and sanitary.

Job Summary

The pay for this position is $6 per hour.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Greets and serves guest in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operates P.O.S. System and makes accurate cash and financial transactions.
• Accurately records all Food & Beverage revenues and corresponding receipt of money, credit cards, complimentaries and coupon settlements.
• Assists with room set up following the floor plan as well as banquet event order.
• Assists with table setting, buffet setups, displays and bars following the banquet event order.
• Prepares all settlement paperwork in a consistent and organized manner.
• Assists with closing down and clean up of banquets.
• Monitors alcohol consumption by guest, adhering strictly to Company Policy & Maryland Law.
• Maintains inventory and restocks all items and products in area as needed.
• Ensures that work area is clean and sanitary.
• Relays all guest compliments and complaints to Food & Beverage Management.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
• Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.

Education And Experience

• Previous server experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
• TiPS Certification Required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds without difficulty, repeatedly.
• Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees
