Job summary

Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin, MD is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for guests and staff. The role offers a $16 per hour pay, comprehensive benefits including medical, vacation time, sick time, personal time, holiday pay and a 401k plan, and year-round scheduling.

You will perform cleaning tasks across public areas, assist with event setup, and uphold safety and hospitality standards while working with a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Reads, understands, and communicates in English sufficiently for tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with management and guests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean public areas and guest spaces with attention to detail.
• Performs sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Sets up and removes event signage and station closures.
• Fosters honesty, trust, and outstanding customer relations.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! This is a full time, year around position with an excellent compensation package. This includes medical, paid sick time, paid vacation time, paid personal time, holiday pay and 401k options. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Performs public service cleaning duties in all areas as assigned.
• Sweeps, mops and disposes of trash.
• Set-up and removal of special event signage and area closure stations.
• Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Previous experience in cleaning of large public areas facility preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
• Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/ or executes written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.

Education And Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs without difficulty, repeatedly.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time without difficulty.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules due to the needs of the business, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
