Job summary

Langham Hospitality Group in Chicago is seeking a banquet cook assistant to support chefs in preparing all menu items according to standard recipes and BEOs. You will set up your station, gather ingredients, and help ensure timely banquet service.

The role requires knife skills, one year of banquet cook experience preferred, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Prior Line or Banquet cook experience of one year preferred.
• Familiar with classical knife cuts and the Mother Sauces.
• Able to name all the Mother Sauces and prepare at least 3 of them.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks in the preparation of all food items using standardized recipes.
• Supply workstation with needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production.
• Store all food properly with labels and dates to prevent waste.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area at all times.
