Job summary

The National, Autograph Collection in Oklahoma City is hiring an Assistant Banquet Manager to lead the planning and execution of weddings, meetings, private events, and catered functions. You will ensure spaces are set accurately per BEOs, diagrams, and brand standards, and oversee event flow from setup through breakdown.

This role guides Banquet Curators, conducts pre-shift briefings, coaches the team, and builds strong relationships with clients, planners, vendors, and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of banquet or event management experience in hospitality required.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations, F&B service, and event execution.
• Experience with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event diagrams preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-development skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to stay calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of meetings, weddings, private events, and catered functions.
• Ensure event spaces are set per BEOs and brand standards.
• Oversee event flow, timing, and service from setup to breakdown.
• Act as Manager on Duty during events and address guest needs in real time.
• Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of Banquet Curators.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate event details, service expectations, timing, and special requests.
• Coach Curators and uphold Coury Hospitality standards and behaviors.
• Build strong relationships with clients, event planners, vendors, and internal partners.
• Coordinate scheduling based on business needs and labor targets.
