Job summary

Hilton Denver City Center is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to oversee the banquets department, ensuring professional service and profitability. You will supervise events, coordinate with hotel departments, and lead a team to deliver high-quality experiences.

The role requires 1-2 years post-high school education, 2-3 years related experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. The hotel offers employee benefits and a dynamic hospitality environment in downtown Denver.

Qualifications

• One to two years of post high school education.
• Two to three years in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
• Advanced knowledge of catering and food and beverage.
• Excellent hearing, vision, and speech communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Banquet Manager in supervising daily operations of banquets to ensure compliance with SOPs, BEOs and safety regulations.
• Meet with customers to review Banquet Event Orders and any changes to ensure delivery of a quality product.
• Calculate and review banquet checks and obtain customer signature for payment.
• Prepare daily gratuities and payroll reporting to the Controller's department.
• Monitor sanitation of banquet areas and equipment and protect assets.
• Analyze banquet event orders and complete a set-up.
• Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
• Coordinate with customers and hotel departments to meet/exceed guest expectations for setups, equipment, staffing and menus.
• Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Review schedules, equipment, supplies and organize workflow to ensure quality events.
• Monitor and control banquet budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while maintaining guest service quality.
• Implement company programs and resolve daily operational problems to ensure safety, security, and hospitality.
