Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group, on behalf of Hilton Denver City Center, seeks an Assistant Banquet Manager to lead the banquets department and uphold service standards across events.

You will supervise daily banquet operations, review Banquet Event Orders with clients, prepare checks and payroll, monitor sanitation, set up rooms, coordinate with departments, and adapt to flexible shifts while driving profitability and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of catering and food and beverage practices.
• Experience managing people and solving complex problems in sales and F&B.
• Ability to investigate and analyze data to draw logical conclusions and recommendations.
• Excellent hearing for verbal interaction with guests and associates.
• Excellent vision and speech for communicating with guests and staff.
• Excellent literacy to read BEOs and process gratuities/payroll.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily banquet operations to ensure service quality and SOP compliance.
• Meet with clients to review Banquet Event Orders and resolve issues.
• Prepare and review banquet checks for accuracy and payment.
• Prepare daily gratuities and payroll reporting to Controller.
• Monitor sanitation and maintenance of banquet areas and equipment.
• Analyze banquet event orders and ensure proper set-up.
• Set tables correctly and consistently in assigned areas.
• Coordinate with guests, managers and staff to meet/exceed expectations.
• Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Control banquet budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
