Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Banquet Supervisor to oversee banquet staff, ensure safe and efficient service, and coordinate setup and breakdown for events. You will lead the team through each function, ensuring menus are executed smoothly and safety standards are met.

The role requires at least two years of banquet service experience, a valid Food Handler Card, and strong English communication to interact with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of hotel banquet food/beverage service.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Able to process paperwork.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to understand verbal English sufficient to understand verbal job requests from supervisor and guests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff in the completion of assigned functions and setup, and oversee service and breakdown in a safe, accident-free manner.
• Coordinate with banquet staff on setups, changes and time schedules for all functions.
• Verify staffing levels for the next day’s functions and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Operate as a banquet server when needed for setup, greeting, service and breakdown.
• Inspect banquet areas after functions to ensure equipment is returned and areas are clean.
