Job summary

Mondrian South Beach is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise the banquet staff and coordinate all food and beverage services for events in the banquet department. Lead the team, train staff, ensure hotel standards, and manage guest requests and resolutions in collaboration with Sales, Kitchen, and F&B management.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two plus years of banquet events supervision experience within hotel and/or F&B.
• Willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Physically able to carry 35+ pounds; able to stand, bend, and move throughout shift.
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
• Works well and efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Coordinate with the event host on all aspects of the banquet function.
• Perform planning and organization functions for the banqueting department like maintaining the banquet logbook, updating function sheets/BEO.
• Check banquet rooms, service, and storage areas for cleanliness and supplies.
• Oversee all aspects of assigned banquet function activities and ensure readiness of food counters.
