Job summary

The Henry Ford is offering a Banquet Operations Intern role to gain hands-on experience in planning and delivering events. You will work with banquet leaders to learn staffing, event preparation, service, inventory, and guest communication during events.

Schedules are flexible to fit class commitments; Saturday evenings are required to support events. This internship provides exposure to various banquet positions with guided coordination responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college/university program in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
• Availability on Wednesdays for required internship programming.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include weekend evenings up until 1am EST based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering events with the Banquet team.
• Help with staffing, event preparation, service, inventory, and guest communication.
• Observe different banquet positions and take on coordination responsibilities with guidance from the team.
• Maintain attention to detail and adapt as event needs change.
• Communicate clearly with staff, clients, vendors, and guests.
