The Henry Ford is offering a Banquet Operations Intern role aimed at hands-on experience in planning and delivering events at the venue. You will work with banquet leaders and staff to understand staffing, prep, service, inventory, and guest communication during events.

Interns will observe various banquet positions and take on coordination duties with guidance from the team, gaining exposure to event operations and guest services.

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field
• Availability on Wednesdays for required internship programming
• Ability to work weekend evenings up to 1am EST based on event needs

Summary

The Banquet Operations Intern will gain hands‑on experience helping the Banquet team plan and deliver events at The Henry Ford. Working alongside banquet leaders and staff, the intern will learn how staffing, event preparation, service, inventory, and guest communication come together to support a successful event. The role includes opportunities to observe different banquet positions and take on coordination responsibilities with guidance from the team.

Key Details

• Compensation: $17–$20/hour
• Duration: 15 weeks (January 25–May 7, 2027)
• Schedule: PT
• Deadline: November 20, 2026 (11:59PM)
• Schedule hours: Saturday evenings will be required.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field

Availability on Wednesdays for required internship programming

Ability to work a schedule that may include weekend evenings up until 1am EST based on event needs

• Physical: Frequent standing and walking, with some sitting. Occasional lifting, carrying, & pushing of up to 50 lbs
