Job summary

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Food Service Associate for the Employee Dining Room. You will deliver friendly, accurate service to staff and students, communicate daily menus, and help maintain a welcoming dining area.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily dining room operations, food safety, stocking, POS transaction handling, and collaborating with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to support operations while upholding Henry Ford standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years of age.
• Weekday, weekend, evening and holiday availability.
• Requires some high school or equivalent experience.
• Customer service focused with a hospitable demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to staff and Henry Ford Academy staff and students.
• Assist with daily Employee Dining Room operations, including food service, stocking, and maintaining service areas.
• Communicate menu items, ingredients, and available options accurately.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.
• Monitor food presentation and service areas and communicate replenishment needs.
• Operate POS equipment and accurately process transactions.
• Respond to employee and guest questions and service needs in a courteous and professional manner.
• Work effectively with Culinary, Food & Beverage, and other team members to support daily operations.
• Follow The Henry Ford policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the Employee Dining Room.
