Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Banquets in Los Angeles to oversee daily banquets operations and drive profitability while maintaining guest satisfaction in line with hotel standards. You will collaborate with the food and beverage team and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all events.

The role includes planning staffing, recruiting, induction programs, and maintaining departmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent.
• 4 years' of related experience.
• Some supervisory experience also preferred.
• Must speak local language(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing planning and recruitment.
• Develop induction programs for new staff.
• Maintain and enforce departmental standards and procedures.
• Analyze training needs and implement programs for Banqueting staff.
• Supervise banqueting staff and manage performance feedback.
• Coordinate with F&B Director and Executive Chef on menus, pricing and beverage lists.
• Oversee coordination of meetings and conferences to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor quality, guest satisfaction, and operating costs to achieve budget goals.
