Job summary

Hilton Universal/Los Angeles is seeking a Director of Banquets to lead the hotel’s banquet and event operations, ensuring flawless execution of meetings, weddings, and conferences in a high-volume setting.

You’ll manage the banquet leadership team, own the department’s budget and profits, coordinate with culinary and sales colleagues, and build lasting relationships with planners and clients to drive repeat business.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in banquet or F&B with 3-5 years in leadership
• Experience in full-service, high-volume hotel, resort, or convention hotel
• Familiar with Hilton systems OnQ/Delphi/Amadeus is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end banquet execution per BEOs and timelines
• Review Banquet Event Orders daily and resolve issues before guest impact
• Lead banquet management team including captains and service staff
• Own the department's revenue, labor, food and beverage costs, and profits
• Coordinate with Culinary, Catering/Sales, Convention Services, and AV teams
• Build relationships with clients and drive repeat business
• Recruit, train, schedule, and coach staff
