Job summary

Ithaka Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Director of Banquets to lead all banquet operations at Elevation Convening Center & Hotel. You will select, train, and direct the banquet team in setup and service for events, coordinating with culinary, service, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution and world-class service.

Responsibilities include daily huddles, ongoing training, payroll and cost controls, and maintaining flawless event spaces.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in food service is required.
• High school degree required; Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Food Management, or related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and supervise teams.

Responsibilities

• Selects, schedules, and trains all banquet team members.
• Conducts monthly training sessions with banquet teams.
• Conducts daily huddles with banquet team to ensure knowledge of dishes and service.
• Supervises and manages day-to-day operations.
• Provides coaching and counseling notices to team members.
• Ensures setup of function rooms per event order specifications.
• Communicates with kitchen, service, beverage, conference services, and engineering staff to ensure timely execution of events.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of event space after events.
• Controls payroll and equipment costs.
• Maintains par stock levels and inventory control.
