Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection in Spokane, WA is seeking a Banquet Lead Cook to manage the banquet kitchen, enforce safety and sanitation, and oversee food preparation, inventories, and menu planning. The role emphasizes hands-on kitchen leadership for both banquet and à la carte settings.

Wage is $20.00 per hour. We value strong planning and execution skills, experience in high-volume environments, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years cooking experience, preferably high volume.
• WA State Food Handler's Card.
• 6 months to 1 year in a supervisory position.
• Wine and fine food knowledge is helpful.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and sanitation policies in the banquet kitchen.
• Manage banquet kitchen food service, inventories, vendor deliveries, and food preparation.
• Plan menus and oversee basic kitchen production for banquet and à la carte settings.
• Evaluate work quantity and influence pace to meet time constraints.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and overall health of the kitchen.
