Job summary

Peaks of Otter Lodge is seeking a Banquet Lead to oversee weddings, private parties, and other special occasions in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting. You will lead staff during events, ensure seamless execution, and maintain high safety and efficiency standards.

Compensation starts at $15 per hour plus tips. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work varied day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a restaurant establishment.
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proper preparation and setup of banquet events, including furniture, decor, and A/V equipment.
• Ensure banquet rooms are clean, organized, and properly set for events.
• Lead and support banquet staff during events to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor guest experience, address issues, and ensure satisfaction during events.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper preparation and setup of banquet events, including arranging furniture, decor, and audio-visual equipment according to event specifications.
• Ensure that banquet rooms are clean, organized, and appropriately set for events.
• Lead, guide, and support banquet staff throughout the event to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor the guest experience to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the event.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.

Position Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Must have an eye for detail and be committed to keeping the bar clean and organized
• Excellent communication skills; ability to count change and reconcile paperwork
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally and understand that position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting and turning

Education and Experience
