Job summary

Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquets Cook to assist the Banquet Chef in managing culinary operations for private events and the employee Café. You will ensure high-quality food, support event changes, and help produce holiday production for buffet events while maintaining a professional kitchen.

The role requires strong cooking skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work long hours. Salary ranges from $22 to $24 per hour based on experience, with on-site shifts in Rancho

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED-equivalency.
• Culinary school graduate with 4 years of Sous Chef or higher experience in banquet operation, preferably luxury hotel banquet operation.
• Ability to communicate in English with vendors, guests and staff to their understanding.
• Basic computer functions including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Chef in managing the culinary department.
• Report to work as scheduled.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Prepare and plate menu items and special requests.
• Set up and serve functions according to Banquet Event Orders.
• Adhere to recipe specifications and portion sizes.
• Maintain a professional kitchen atmosphere.
• Inspect refrigerators daily and ensure proper labeling and dating.
