Job summary

Daniel Island Golf Club in Charleston, SC is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead the events team on the floor during member and private events, weddings, and other functions.

You will coordinate service with kitchen and banquet staff, ensure adherence to BEOs, supervise servers and bartenders, and maintain high guest service standards.

The role requires at least two years in food service, supervisory experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years minimum experience in food service, preferably catering/banquet.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the events team on the floor during member and private events, weddings, and related functions.
• Coordinate food service between kitchen and banquet staff in the absence of a manager.
• Inspect setups and ensure compliance with BEOs and standards.
• Direct servers, bartenders, and other staff to maintain service quality during events.
• Monitor beverage service and address intoxication concerns while maintaining safety.
