Job summary

The Sheraton Palo Alto is seeking a Banquet Server to provide timely service during banquet functions and ensure guests enjoy a memorable event. You will review banquet event orders, set up rooms, present menus, and assist with beverage service while maintaining brand standards.

You will work closely with culinary and beverage teams, help maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety guidelines throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of banquet or fine dining experience.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service and dining etiquette.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant event experience to guests.
• Review banquet event orders.
• Set tables and rearrange banquet rooms.
• Assist with presenting menu offerings and beverage service.
• Deliver plates, utensils and other items with etiquette.
• Clean and reset tables and service areas.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet event spaces.
• Follow brand standards and safety guidelines.
