Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to lead our Orlando banquet operations at Universal Orlando Resort. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting and service quality to ensure exceptional events and strong financial results.

Based in Orlando, FL, you will mentor staff, enforce standards, and collaborate with culinary and service teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences. A proven leadership background and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years progressive management experience in large up-scale, multi-unit hotel banquet operations.
• Certifications: "Certified Food Manager", "TIPS" or equivalent responsible vendor.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes designed to attain maximum operating efficiency ensuring adherence to guest satisfaction criteria.
• Effective management, leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Position requires valid Florida state issued Driver’s License in good standing to operate a company vehicle.
• Position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written, with team members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Banquet Department staffing levels to provide optimal performance.
• Develops/approves all banquet department schedules, forecasts and budgets.
• Administers departmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Ensures smooth, cost effective operation of all banquet food service functions including labor management and inventory control.
• Oversees supervision, such as setup coordination, service delivery, and banquet check presentation.
• Reviews payroll and labor costs to conform to budget.
