Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is hiring a full-time Banquet Set-Up staff in the campus Hospitality department. You will prepare banquet spaces for events, ensuring details meet guest expectations.

Responsibilities include setting up meeting and dining rooms with equipment, delivering and organizing linens and glassware, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory. This role supports a mission-driven community on campus.

Qualifications

• Must manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Ability to move, lift and handle equipment up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Setting up meeting rooms, dining rooms and public spaces with equipment and materials (tables, chairs, linens, A/V gear, bars) as requested by client or manager.
• Gather supplies for banquet events and stage them prior to service.
• Empty trash from function areas and banquet service areas.
• Change linens and arrange for cleaning by linen service.
• Vacuum and dust as needed after functions in meeting rooms.
• Clean and mop storerooms, pantry, ballroom hallway and related areas.
• Transport food to banquet areas and remove dishes to the dish room promptly.
• Store equipment neatly and inventory materials as directed by supervisor or managers.
