Job summary

TSG Developments Investments Inc. in Hallandale Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Banquet Setup Assistant to courteously and efficiently prepare function rooms for events. You will set up furniture, manage inventory, and assist guests with setup requests.

The role requires physical endurance, teamwork, and safety-minded work habits. Responsibilities include arranging tables, stocking china and glassware, coordinating with management, and ensuring proper use of equipment.

Qualifications

• Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects of 50lbs or less without assistance.
• Be able to manipulate objects of different size and weight, requiring fine motor skills.
• Ability to read and interpret banquet event orders and floor plans.
• Must have great communication skills and work in a team.
• Must have a flexible schedule, AM/PM and weekend availability.
• Must be 21yrs or older and able to obtain a Slot License.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down all banquet furniture according to each event.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and different furniture according to floor plan.
• Inventory all china, silverware, glassware, and linen before and after the event.
• Receive and inventory deliveries and rentals.
• Assist management and guests with different setup requests.
• Maintain and manage proper use of all banquet equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of all equipment.
• Store all equipment on its proper location.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding issues with equipment or inventory discrepancies.
• Perform other activities in different areas as necessary.
• Perform all activities in a safe manner.
