Job summary

Chateau Élan Winery & Resort in Georgia is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare food of consistent quality and help in various kitchen functions. You will start items, date and rotate perishables, and assist in maintaining buffet stock. Strong communication and ability to lift up to 100 lbs are important.

Experience in hotel or resort kitchens is preferred; you will work on-site with HEI Hotels and Resorts standards and participate in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate per HEI standards, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, and assist with plan-setting to correct food cost problems.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment listed in duties.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
