Job summary

Loews Nashville Hotel is seeking a Banquet Cook I to prepare and present high-quality banquet dishes for weddings, conferences, and events in a busy luxury hotel environment.

You will work closely with the Banquet Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely service, safety, and consistent plating across multiple venues, including handling special dietary needs and live stations when required.

Qualifications

• Experience with knife handling and station work across pantry, grill, and sauté.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and portion controls accurately.
• Knowledge of basic mother sauces and proper sanitation practices.
• Capable of working under pressure during events and large functions.
• Strong communication and teamwork with kitchen staff and event teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present banquet menu items for weddings, conferences, and events.
• Set up and stock banquet stations with needed supplies and ingredients.
• Coordinate with event timelines to ensure timely meal delivery.
• Collaborate with catering teams to meet dietary and thematic requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and banquet prep areas.
• Assist with buffet setup, plating, and live cooking stations as needed.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation per health regulations and hotel policies.
