Job summary

Union Bluff Hotel in York, Maine, seeks a Banquet Cook for a full-time role in our busy kitchen. You will prepare meals for large events, maintain high quality and safe food handling, and work with the banquet team to meet guest expectations.

Responsibilities include following recipes, managing portion control, and supporting the kitchen during weddings and meetings. Flexibility with shifts and a ServSafe-certified background are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a related position.
• On-site hotel kitchen environment experience.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items to order following recipes and standards.
• Accommodate special guest requests and allergies while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate food orders for timely delivery to the table.
• Maintain sanitation and safety to meet health codes; keep stations clean.
• Assist with setup/cleanup of cook areas and equipment.
