Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel, banquet, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Willing to grow in hospitality career and learn new skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for banquets, meetings, weddings, and other catered events according to established recipes and hotel standards.
• Assist with banquet food preparation, including appetizers, entrées, sides, sauces, and other menu items.
• Ensure food is prepared, portioned, presented, and held at the proper temperature and in accordance with quality standards.
• Work closely with the Banquet and Culinary Teams to ensure food is ready for service according to event timelines.
• Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, portion sizes, and overall quality.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products according to established standards.
• Assist with inventory, prep lists, and minimizing food waste.
• Communicate effectively with the culinary team regarding food preparation, timing, and special requests.
• Support other kitchen and banquet operations as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and TEAM-oriented kitchen environment.
