Job summary

Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE is seeking a part-time Banquet Cook to join Troon’s hospitality team. You will help prep and stage food for events, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety standards in a fast-paced setting at a premier golf club managed by Troon.

Minimum qualifications include 1–2 years of cooking or food production experience; culinary certification is a plus. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Benefits include healthcare and 401(k) with employer match.

  • Alerts the chef or supervisor to any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
  • Requisitions inventory and receives supplies as necessary for daily production.
  • Ensures proper storage of food items.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Description

Deerfield Golf Club, located in Newark, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Banquet Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance with production plan or forecast needs
  • Wraps, dates, and rotates food items
  • Utilizes whole food products, eliminating any waste
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
  • Alerts the chef or supervisor to any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
  • Requisitions inventory and receives supplies as necessary for daily production
  • Ensures proper storage of food items
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:

One to two years of prior experience in cooking or food production; certified culinary training is a plus

Maintains regular and reliable attendance

Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and under pressure with organization and timing

Must have flexibility to work weekends and holidays
